Getting started — what to have ready

The five artifacts to gather before you start a CCR draft, and why each one matters to the agent's accuracy.

Updated 2026-04-18

Before you start

Have these five artifacts ready before you begin drafting:

  1. Last year’s CCR (any format — we read PDF, Word, HTML).
  2. 2025 monthly lab reports for every regulated contaminant.
  3. Lead and Copper sampling data from the current compliance period.
  4. SDWIS violation history for 2025 (downloadable from your primacy agency).
  5. Service line inventory status per LCRI.

With all five in hand, your first CCR draft takes under 45 minutes. Without them, you’ll be pausing repeatedly to gather source material.

What’s in the dashboard

When you start, your workspace shows three panels:

  • Sections — the nine federally-required CCR sections in order.
  • Draft — the agent’s current output, streaming as it generates.
  • Evidence — the data the agent is using, with per-value provenance.

Your first action

Upload last year’s CCR. Everything flows from there — the agent uses it to match your utility’s tone, section structure, and layout conventions.

If you get stuck
